Rockets take game 4 tonight. Game 5 Tuesday in SA, will the Spurs be able to bounce back? Wizards tie the series 2-2 with the Celtics, game 5 heading back to Boston. LeBron and the Cavs take care of business against the Toronto Raptors.
A lot of shakeups in the NFL. The Chiefs lose Jamal Charles to none other than the rival Denver Broncos. If Jamal Charles can stay healthy, the Broncos are looking dangerous heading into next season. Now the Chiefs are ready to focus on Spencer Ware and backup RB Charkendrick West.
In other news…Justin Forstt has announced he will retire because of injury problems.
Game 1 tonight between the Jazz and Warriors, Warriors will have a tough time scoring on Utah’s defense that is arguably the best in the league. Draymond Green I think is the X-Factor of this series and on who will be able to slow down and stop Rudy Gobert. Joe Ingles and Gordon Hayward need to work hard on the defensive end to try and slow down Kevin Durant. We all know Draymond, Klay, Steph, and KD can go off whenever they want but, if the Jazz pressure them, they may not be able to. Also, this series will depend on the pace, how the pace is played. Is it slow or fast. If I was Utah I would try and play slow pace to slow down the Warriors and not give them momentum. I think Gobert and Favors need to play bully-ball against David West, Zaza Pachulia and Javale McGee. Even though Zaza Pachulia and David West aren’t really that big of a presence they still can make a difference in this series. So if Utah wants to pull off an upset they need to play slow tempo. Get some shots too fall early, and close out all quarters strong. In the last series the Warriors closed out every quarter strong and that’s how they pulled away from the Blazers. So the Jazz can’t let that happen in this series. I think it will go to six or seven games because both teams are great on their home floor, so it will be a grinded out series and may the best team win. Joe Johnson will be the X-Factor for the Jazz also because he needs too hit BIG time shots toward the end for them to have a chance of stealing one in Golden State.
The second round has begun and it should be a very interesting second round. Especially, Rockets vs. Spurs, I think the Rockets have a good chance at getting an upset win over the Spurs because Patrick Beverley will be able to contain Patty Mills/Tony Parker, but the X-Factors will be Kawhi Leonard and James Harden, how well they will do in this series. Will the Houston pull off an upset against the Spurs or will the Spurs be able to hold the Rockets off and protect home court advantage.
Will Draymond Green win Defensive Player of the year? I think he deserves it because he leads the league in steals, averaging 1.4 blocks, about 3.5 pass deflections/contested shots. In the second round he will be going up against Rudy Gobert, who is also a candidate for Defensive Player of the year. But, I think Draymond is the best defender in the league. Not only should he be 1st Team All Defense, he should also win Defensive Player of the year because of the impact he makes on that end. He avgeraged 4.5 blocks in the 1st round which is insane considering the fact that he is listed at 6’7 and is listed as a SF/PF but he can play every position which is unique. Only a few players can play all five positions like Draymond, LeBron, Antentokunmpo, etc. So I think Draymond Green should be DPOY and he will prove it when they play Utah in the second round and he outplays Gobert to win the DPOY award. Tell me what you think.
A HUGE game 7 tonight between the Jazz and the Clippers. Jazz had their chance to win in game six at home but, they blew it. So now a game seven in LA means trouble for Utah. Considering how well Chris Paul has played in this serious, and what could be an end to the “big 3” era with the sidekick Jamal Crawford, Chris Paul will need to have a big night to keep the Clippers hopes alive, but, needs help from Deandre Jordon, Jamal Crawford, J.J. Redick, and Luc Mbah Moute. As for the Jazz, Gordon Hayward, Rudy Gobert, Joe Ingles, Joe Johnson, and George Hill all need to do well and contribute enough to get a crucial game seven win against the Clippers. People have been saying these two teams are playing too see who loses to the Warriors but, I don’t believe that, I think both of these teams will have a chance at beating the Warriors, just need to see which team.
Crazy comeback by the Dodgers being down 5-2 heading into the bottom of the ninth inning. Puig leading things off with a homer, followed by Bellinger, later on by Justin Turner making that his 15th straight game with a hit, and concluding back to back to back homers. Later on Toles ending up on first base, Seager getting a single, leading Toles to second base, and with two outs Adrian Gonzales got a base hit off of an error by the Phillies and the Dodgers won the game 6-5. What a game and what a comeback.
With Larry Bird stepping down today as Pacers President, does this mean Paul George will leave also? Paul George becoming a free agent in 2018 and wanted to go to the Lakers as his favorite destination, will it happen next season? Will Paul George be the star the Lakers need. Will Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka have enough fire power to bring Paul George to LA?
Chris Paul had a phenomenal game tonight against the Jazz in Utah, one of the toghest places to play. He stepped up to the challenge of facing the brink of elimination. That is only one reason why to this day he is known as one of the best PG in the league. He steps up every time when it counts. A game 7 in LA is looking good for the Clippers, especially if Chris Paul can keep his hot steak going.
With Rajon Rondo out tonight I think it would be best if the Bulls start Wade, Butler, Zisper, Portis, and Lopez. Have Wade play PG because then it will be an avdvantage with a 5’9 Isaiah Thomas on him. Especially because Avery Bradley has given Jimmy Butler some trouble during this serious.
